Harvest Time

What a spectacular first year as a CSA!  We have been having so much fun with the boxes and love to share what we have growing on our modest 3 acres.  We have determined to double in size next year and have expanded the main garden and created a new side garden just past all the raised beds.  We dream of buying some more land near us but are not sure this is an option at this time.  This weekend is the last box and we are excited to share brussel sprouts, chard, spinach, carrots, beets, salad mix, eggs, onions, garlic, potatoes, huckleberries, ground cherries, pumpkins, mint tea, a frozen chicken and a bonus surprise you will remember from the first box.  Stay tuned for details on how to sign up for next years CSA shares.

Growing season 2011 is so far a huge success!  The rain and sunshine have been cooperating and we were lucky with the greenhouse to have the first box roll out on time.  Crop Squad was a blast and the weather again cooperated!  The shitake mushroom logs are completed and we hope to have our first crop next year!
